Antoine A Raphael began his career as a lawyer and an editorialist. He was later on hired by the Ministry of Zaire to teach French and Philosophy. He came to USA in 1970 and pursued graduate studies at Queens College, NY, and Fordham University in the Bronx.

He received a Law degree from State University of Haiti, MA degree from Queens College, and PHD at Fordham University.  He retired as a Hospital Care Investigator/Patient Accounts at the Harlem Hospital Center 2002.

Most of his books are written in English and in French. 

​

He was born in Terrier Rouge, West Indies Haiti. He was married to the love of his life and best friend Pricilia Tropnas Raphael in December 1966.
